Our People

Meet the people behind EIFA Ventures. Each brings a distinct way of working, with a shared commitment to clear thinking, honest communication and practical follow-through.

Raqueal Laurent

Executive Affairs and Operations Coordinator

Capacity: Executive coordination, operational follow-through, stakeholder correspondence and leadership support

Desk: Morocco (Rabat) — Operations Desk

Raqueal is based in Rabat, with strong personal roots in Marseille. Her work sits right in the middle of the things that keep EIFA moving every day: conversations, schedules, follow-ups, priorities and people who need to stay connected.

A lot of what she does is simple to describe but difficult to do well. Someone needs an answer. A meeting needs to happen. A decision needs to reach the right person. A follow-up has gone quiet. A small detail is holding up something much bigger. Raqueal is usually the person making sure those things do not get lost in the gaps.

She prefers direct communication, clear expectations and knowing exactly where a matter stands. She is also usually the one asking the very practical question: “What happens next?”

In her words: “I like people to know where they stand. If something needs an answer, I would rather deal with it properly than let it sit there and become complicated for no reason.”

Alina Mirza

Operational Analytics & Insights Lead

Capacity: Analytics operations, commercial analysis, structured research and decision support

Desk: Australia (Brisbane) — Operations Desk

Alina works from Brisbane and leads the analytical side of EIFA’s work. She is the person most likely to ask where a figure came from, whether two things are genuinely comparable, or whether there is another explanation hiding behind what appears obvious at first glance.

Her work covers research, market information, commercial data, performance patterns and the evidence behind business decisions. She does not believe in creating reports simply because there is data available. For her, the point is to make information useful enough that somebody can actually act on it.

She is methodical by nature, but not rigid. She is perfectly comfortable saying that something is still uncertain if the evidence does not support a stronger conclusion.

In her words: “I would rather tell someone that we do not know enough yet than give them confidence built on weak information. Good analysis should make the next decision easier, not just make the presentation look smarter.”

Artem Sokolov

Eurasia Logistics & Supply Chain

Capacity: Supply-chain risk, logistics coordination, routing contingencies and operational dependencies

Desk: Russia (St. Petersburg) — Operations Desk

Artem works from St. Petersburg and spends much of his time thinking about what can go wrong between one point and another.

Routes change. Suppliers miss timelines. Costs move. One delayed component suddenly affects several other parts of an operation. Artem looks at those dependencies before they become emergencies.

His approach is practical. He likes to know the main route, the alternative route and the point at which the first one stops making sense. He is also interested in the smaller operational details that are easy to ignore until they become the reason something does not move.

In his words: “I do not like plans that only work when everything goes right. If we cannot explain what happens when something changes, then the plan is not finished.”

Charles Bennett

Cross-Border Compliance

Capacity: Regulatory coordination, governance alignment, jurisdictional risk and compliance review

Desk: United States of America (Boston) — Operations Desk

Charles works from Boston and deals with the questions that tend to become more important the moment a business crosses a border.

Different jurisdictions rarely approach the same commercial activity in exactly the same way. Charles looks at where those differences matter, where obligations change and where an engagement needs additional professional or regulatory input before it moves forward.

He is not interested in making compliance sound intimidating. In fact, his preferred outcome is usually the opposite: identify the boundary, understand it properly and then let the commercial team work with clarity.

In his words: “Most compliance problems become difficult because somebody found out about them too late. I prefer the difficult conversation early, while there are still options.”

Saad Ahmed

Corporate Communications Coordinator

Capacity: Corporate communications, official telephone and WhatsApp channels, enquiry handling and internal routing

Desk: Pakistan (Lahore) — Corporate Office

Saad is often one of the first people someone speaks to when they contact EIFA.

He handles the official communication channels, including telephone and WhatsApp, and makes sure enquiries reach the right person without being passed around unnecessarily. That can mean answering something directly, arranging a follow-up, routing a matter to the appropriate desk or simply making sure the conversation does not disappear once the first message has been exchanged.

He prefers communication that sounds like communication between actual people. Clear, polite and useful usually works better than something written as though a committee approved every sentence.

In his words: “I try to understand what someone actually needs before deciding where the conversation should go. Sometimes the fastest way to help is simply to listen properly the first time.”

Mohsin Mumtaz

Business Development Partnerships Associate

Capacity: Business development, prospective partnerships, commercial engagement and cross-border communications

Desk: Pakistan (Lahore) — Corporate Office

Mohsin works with new relationships, prospective partners and early-stage commercial discussions.

A large part of his work is about figuring out whether there is a real basis for two sides to work together. That usually means getting beyond introductions, understanding what each side actually wants and keeping communication moving long enough for the substance of the opportunity to become clear.

He works primarily from Pakistan and also supports cross-border communications under the direction of the Managing Principal.

Mohsin is naturally relationship-focused, but he does not believe every conversation needs to become a partnership. Sometimes clarity is just as valuable as momentum.

In his words: “I like getting past the formal introduction quickly. Once people start speaking normally, you find out much faster whether there is something worth working on together.”

Sofie Nygaard

Nordic Operations & Engagements

Capacity: Nordic stakeholder engagement, operational coordination, regional communications and project follow-through

Desk: Denmark (Copenhagen) — Operations Desk

Sofie works from Copenhagen and supports EIFA’s Nordic-facing engagements.

Her work often involves keeping several people aligned without making the process heavier than it needs to be. She coordinates communications, keeps track of practical commitments and follows through when a project begins moving from discussion into actual work.

She values preparation and consistency. If a timeline changes, she believes people should know. If somebody has promised an answer, she believes the answer should arrive. Her approach is not complicated, which is probably why it works.

In her words: “I pay attention to the small commitments. If people can rely on those, the larger work usually becomes much easier.”

Camille Moreau

Operations & Logistics Coordination

Capacity: European operational communications, logistics coordination, stakeholder follow-up and execution support

Desk: France (Bordeaux) — Operations Desk

Camille works from Bordeaux and focuses on the practical side of getting things done.

She becomes involved where several people, timelines, locations or dependencies need to stay coordinated. That might mean following up on an operational requirement, checking where a delay originated, making sure everybody is working from the same information or simply reducing the number of moving parts around a task.

She has little patience for complexity that exists only because nobody has stopped to question it. Her first instinct is usually to simplify the process before adding anything else to it.

In her words: “I like work that becomes easier once you understand it properly. If something feels unnecessarily complicated, there is usually a simpler way hiding underneath.”
